While many corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives are confined to boardroom discussions, this humanitarian partnership in the UAE will bring direct impact to employees on the ground. Aramex, a logistics company headquartered in Dubai, has partnered with the WFP to provide support to vulnerable populations through an internal giving campaign. Employees across Aramex’s international operations will have access to a seamless and direct method of donating meals to families experiencing food insecurity using the WFP’s digital fundraising platform, ShareTheMeal.

In addition to employee contributions, Aramex is matching employee participation with an official corporate donation. This partnership combines the rapid emergency response capabilities of the WFP with the regional reach and community commitment of a homegrown logistics network operating in over 70 countries. Rather than launching a single, generic campaign, the initiative was launched through three targeted regional tracks: “Fight Hunger with Aramex Middle East,” “Fight Hunger with Aramex Africa,” and “Fight Hunger with Aramex Asia.” Employees were invited to participate by simply scanning a dedicated QR code on the ShareTheMeal platform, which would allow them to route vital nutrition directly to communities facing severe humanitarian challenges. Amadou Diallo, Group Chief Executive Officer of Aramex, stated that having an international logistics presence provides both the opportunity and responsibility to support local communities. He also stated that combining personal employee contributions with corporate funding turns everyday corporate values into practical, collective action. From a broader regional perspective, the partnership illustrates how established UAE enterprises are evolving their CSR strategies to build resilience beyond borders. The WFP highlighted that strong private sector partnerships continue to be essential for delivering humanitarian assistance quickly, efficiently, and at scale wherever urgent needs arise. By giving employees direct agency in philanthropic initiatives and backing their personal contributions at the corporate level, Aramex and the WFP have created a model for shared citizenship. It illustrates how multinational teams based out of Dubai can use modern digital tools to convert simple, everyday gestures into life-saving support for families worldwide.
