Experiencing life as an environment protector is satisfying for both my moral needs and work requirements. One can get to practice his solution-focused coping strategies, aided by his personality traits, to take the lead. This experience has been beneficial for both his personal and professional growth.”
The ancient Greeks believed that there were four elements that everything that we are surrounded by. These four classical elements were made up of: earth, water, air, and fire.
Environment should be the priority in everyone’s lives, because their own future depends on it.The idea is that one lives simply, runs freely, and enjoys one’s environment thoroughly. Miss Earth draws attention to environmental protection and awareness.
The first edition was held last 20th of November 2021 for the Ms. Philippines Earth Dubai 2022 representative.
Each girl had a message about environmental awareness. CHRISDALYN YVONNE ABRENICA, the winner of Miss Earth Dubai environmental advocacy centers at Biodiversity Conservation.
Abrenica said: “As an individual who were raised in a hometown where agriculture, farming, and livelihood are the means of living, I have witnessed how tight is the connection of our lives with nature. I have chosen to preserve Biodiversity as the core of my advocacy because, for me, it indicates our future. Our lives solely depend on it. From the air we breathe, the water we drink, to the food we eat. It yields all the essentials for humanity, and I believe that these are sufficient reasons why we should be taking extra care of our actions towards our planet, our home. Unfortunately, we are entitled as the threat to the environment bearing massive environmental impacts. Pollution, Resource scarcity, Climate Change, Habitat destruction are just some of the drivers of species extinction which we continue to perpetuate. More than that, the recent pandemic has taken a toll on all of us. During this time, we have experienced how difficult it was if the essentials are taken away from us. So, I am taking this chance to remind and instill in everyone’s mind that we have a role to play here. We are not just consumers. We are also stewards of Mother Nature.”
Mother Earth. We protect.
We aren´t the only ones living here. There are thousands of other species that share this space. And this is denominated biodiversity. All of the other living organisms are a trait of our escense, ,of our history, they are our friends, the ones with whom we have shared space for millions of years, and they need to be respected by us. We can´t destroy what is not really ours and we need to take care of what has been given to us.
Our planet harming activities are resulting in causing an irreversible damage to the environment which results in degrading the condition of this planet. By taking care of this planet, we can improve our well-being as healthy environment will help in improving the quality of our life. It is our collective responsibility to raise public responsibility regarding the well-being of our mother earth.
